I took my mom on a small weekend trip to the nation's capital recently and it was absolutely amazing. There is so much things to see and do that it's impossible to get everything done in the weekend, not to mention that we did a lot of sightseeing (and walking) on the Mall. Future reference - take the Metro everywhere.
