Videos

The other day I went and did a plethora of impromptu video recordings at the piano store where I teach. For about 6 hours I managed to sit in front of 40 pianos with my crappy Nikon D5000, press record and played a bunch of random notes. And as much as I’d love to upload all 40-something videos to YouTube I think about 10 or 12 will suffice.

This is basically the product of what happens when you have a poor social life. You sit down all day and hit a bunch of random notes and call it music.

Sigh.

Childhood Scores

Since I began teaching last year I've been resurrecting these sorts of books I bought when I was a kid; practicing scores and pieces I could of only dreamed about playing (while attempting to master Killer Instinct on the N64).

You can tell these books are old...just look at how the cover page for the book of Beethoven's sonatas is ripped from its source!

Now I can't stop practicing these damn things and they're getting in the way of my Japanese studies!
